GTA 6 fans can now mark the calendar as Rockstar Games has announced that the game will be released in the fall of 2025. Anticipation has been building since the first trailer was revealed in December 2023.

Expected Release Date and Platforms
While Rockstar Games hasn’t revealed an official release date yet, the company has continued to maintain that GTA 6 will launch in the fall of 2025, likely between Q3 and Q4. A new trailer was expected to drop on December 27, 2024. However, the fans were disappointed as no news appeared online. This has also led to fan theories of the game’s launch getting delayed.
The game will be exclusive to next-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 during launch. This means gamers with older consoles, such as PS4 and Xbox One, will not be able to play it. The PC version could be delayed until 2026.
Price in India
GTA 6 will be available at Rs 5,999 in India as a standard edition. The special edition may come at around Rs 7,299 for added content. Although pre-order periods might offer discounts, major price cuts on launch are less likely.
Map and Gameplay Features
GTA 6 will transport players into a vast open-world environment. It will draw inspiration from the landscapes of Florida, such as the Everglades and the Keys. Vice City will be included on the map, comprising the most loved cities in the GTA universe. New areas may include bustling urban centers, serene beaches, and rugged wilderness. The idea is to take open-world gaming to new limits with detailed settings and dynamic gameplay.
Dual Protagonists
The gameplay will feature two main protagonists with personal storylines and unique gameplay mechanics. This dual-protagonist approach promises a fresh perspective on GTA’s usual action-packed mission and highly-driven narrative.
The series will introduce a female protagonist named Lucia for the first time, adding a new twist to the storyline. According to reports, players may also have access to multiple playable characters, a tradition continued in GTA 5. This will enhance and diversify gameplay experiences from across an expansive open world.
